Supervisory Committee


The Supervisory Committee of our Credit Union is an essential cog-in-the-wheel which carries out the internal audit function to ensure that SPCU complies with all relevant legislation. You will see from their mini biographies that those elected to the Committee have all the necessary skills and experience to perform their roles.


Graeme Gallie - Graeme is Chairman of the Supervisory Committee. He joined Strathclyde Police in 2004. He is currently a Temporary Inspector within Police Scotland and has responsibility for the maintenance and development of the national Human Resources and Duty Management system.


Ewen Ellen - Ewen first became involved with SPCU as an Associate Director when he was employed as an analyst with Strathclyde Police. He progressed to a full Directorship which he maintained when he left his post with Strathclyde Police to perform a similar role with Scottish Power. When he relinquished his post as Director to take up his current role, he was SPCU’s longest serving Director.



Gordon Milne - Gordon joined Tayside Police in 1989 where he steadily rose through the ranks. He is now the Police Scotland Local Area Commander for Angus. Gordon is no stranger to SPCU as he previously held the post of Director and Chairman of the SPCU Foundation.


Craig Smith - Craig joined Strathclyde Police in 1997. He has vast experience of policing, police supervision and management and currently holds the post of  Police Scotland Local Area Commander for East Dunbartonshire.
